Privacy Policy
Marigold Lane · Effective October 24, 2026
The short version. Marigold Lane has no accounts and never asks for your name, email or contacts. It uses a few trusted services to count how the game is played, show optional videos, handle purchases and save your progress to iCloud. We don't sell your information, and the game doesn't track you across other companies' apps and websites.
This policy explains what information the Marigold Lane game for iPhone and iPad ("the game") collects and why. The game is made by Crucible Labs Inc ("we", "us"), a Texas corporation.
What we collect, and why
- Receives
- A random ID for your copy of the game, game events (for example "level 12 finished"), device model, iOS version, language, and an approximate country based on your IP address
- Why
- To see which levels are too hard or too easy, and to fix problems
- Receives
- The same random ID and the app version
- Why
- To adjust game balance, such as moves per level, without an app update
- Receives
- Device information, IP address and ad interactions. The game does not ask to track you and does not use your device's advertising ID
- Why
- To show the optional reward videos you choose to watch. Ads are non-personalized
- Receives
- A random purchase ID and your purchase history. Payment details are handled only by Apple; we never see them
- Why
- To deliver what you buy and restore it on a new device
- Receives
- Your game progress, stored in your own iCloud account
- Why
- So your progress follows you to a new iPhone. We can't read it
- Receives
- Your Game Center player ID, scores and achievements
- Why
- For leaderboards and achievements, if you sign in to Game Center
Your progress, settings and purchases are also stored on your device. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- We don't collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
Children
Marigold Lane is a family-friendly game for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ads in the game are non-personalized, and purchases go through Apple, where parents can require approval with Ask to Buy. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to restore your purchases and to meet tax and accounting rules.
Your choices and rights
- Videos only play when you tap to watch one. Buying No videos, or an active Garden Pass, removes them.
- Deleting the game removes the data stored on your device. Your iCloud copy can be removed in iPhone Settings, under your name, iCloud, Manage Storage.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, or to object to its use. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. Because the game has no accounts, include anything that helps us find your data, such as a purchase receipt.
- Players in the EU and UK are asked for consent before any video ad is shown.
The services we use
Each service has its own privacy policy: Google Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat and Apple. Some of them may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will also be mentioned in the game's update notes.
